- ScanHaven has no accounts, no ads and no tracking.
- Your scans and documents stay on your phone. We never receive them.
- We do not sell or share any personal data.
Who we are
ScanHaven is a free document scanner app made by Tavrio Studio (“we”). You can reach us at support@tavriostudio.com.
Your documents
Everything you scan, import or create in ScanHaven (photos, PDFs, signatures, text, folders) is stored only in the app’s private storage on your device. It is not uploaded to us or to any server we run. Locked folders and the app lock protect it on the device.
Camera and photos
ScanHaven uses the camera only to scan documents when you ask it to. It reads photos or PDF files only when you choose them to import, and saves to your photo gallery or files only when you ask it to.
Scanning and text recognition
Edge detection and text recognition (“Copy text”) run on your device using Google’s ML Kit and, on iPhone, Apple’s VisionKit. Your images are processed on the phone and are not sent to us. Google may collect limited technical information about how these on-device tools perform, under Google’s Privacy Policy.
Backups
A “Full backup file” is created only when you ask for it. It is encrypted with a password that you choose, and saved or shared wherever you decide. We never see the password or the file; if the password is lost, the backup cannot be opened, not even by us. If “Auto backup” is on, your phone’s own system backup (Google Drive on Android, iCloud on iPhone) may include the app’s data under your Google or Apple account.
Fingerprint and passcode
Fingerprint or face unlock is handled by your phone. ScanHaven never receives your fingerprint or face data. Your passcode is stored only on your device, in its secure storage.
App updates
To receive app fixes, ScanHaven checks for updates with Expo, our update provider. This request includes basic technical information (such as app version, platform and IP address) and no documents or personal content.
Contacting us
If you use “Contact us”, your email app opens and you decide what to send. We use your message only to reply to you.
Children
ScanHaven does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, including children.
Deleting your data
You can delete any document in the app; items in Trash are removed for good after 30 days, or straight away with “Empty trash”. Uninstalling ScanHaven removes all of its data from your phone. Because we hold none of your documents, there is nothing for us to delete on our side; you can still write to us with any request.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, we will update this page and its date.
